Evolution of Buddy/Blur for 2009
This link shows you the evolution of the Buddy/Blur combination scooter for 2009. http://english.pgo.com.tw/product_character.asp?id=68
PGO has thought of everything. With the added stability, there is plenty of room to incorporate all kinds of cup holders so you can be riding while sipping your latte and talking on the phone.
Additionally there is an optional back rest with "crutch/cane" holder so you can place your crutches on it while riding after you had an accident for sipping lattes and talking on the phone while motoring down the highway.
A large influx of orders are expected. Those with AARP membership would get priority.
At this point the color options are avocado green and canary yellow. Shag carpet will also be an option on warmer climates.
Um, Um good !

None taken... I'd BUY some for some folks down here to replace their huge Town Cars that they can't see over the steering wheel of!!jrsjr wrote:Ha! If that came with a trunk big enough to hold a couple bags of groceries, I bet they could sell a zillion of em in FLA. (No offense to anybody from the great state of FLA. You know what I mean.)

Oh we have lots of things like that here...at the mall I use those slow moving "mobility scooters" as racing pylons!jrsjr wrote:Ha! Eh. I'd seen that on the site before and tried to put it out of my mind. Now I can't!
FWIW, I read yesterday that the Piaggio MP3 250 is now the top-selling scooter in their line. With the 400 and 500 coming out, we may start seeing a lot more 3-wheeled vehicles on the road this year. Me, I'm just waiting for my VentureOne.

i love that Brit review show of the VentureOne. "I'm in a miniature road going fighter plane. I want guns strapped to the side of it!"ericalm wrote: Me, I'm just waiting for my VentureOne.

Hey, Vespa has a three wheeler, sort of. Yeah, AZ and FL will be the big sellers but if it whooped ass, the white hairs in my state of FL would never buy it. Retired youngish baby boomers could go crazy on it though.
It does have a bit of a Shriners quality though...cupholder would be good for New Orleans Carnival parades.

yeah, but from the looks of the picture, you would have to get your legs amputated to drive it... that would be a hell of a commitment....ericalm wrote: Me, I'm just waiting for my VentureOne.

Ha, that image is a mock up. They're still working on the design of the chassis for the damn thing, trying to figure out where to put the doors and such. Production was supposed to start this year, but I'm doubtful we'll see them until '09 or later.lou76 wrote:yeah, but from the looks of the picture, you would have to get your legs amputated to drive it... that would be a hell of a commitment....ericalm wrote: Me, I'm just waiting for my VentureOne.

If you lived in Europe you can already buy the original version that the Venture One is based on. The CARVER (www.carver-worldwide.com) starts at about 40.000 euros. But if you look at the options list, you can easily end up with a 50-60K euro machine.
But gosh, does it look fun !

Plus, the Carver is smaller and not a hybrid/electric. Estimated MSRP for the Venture is still under $25K, I think, depending on which version you get. 100MPGs, yeah!EP_scoot wrote:If you lived in Europe you can already buy the original version that the Venture One is based on.
