Prima Pipe Installation Question

Post by ender07 »

I just got done installing most of the bolts of my Prima Pipe on my RH50 but there is a hose that was connected to the old exhaust that now does not have a place to connect or be housed with the new pipe installed. I have 2 pictures of it below:

I don't what to do with that part (or what it is)...so any help would be much appreciated!

Well I still don't know the answer to my question above...but now another new problem has arisen!

I took my carb off, took out the main and idle jets to check them, then reinstalled the idle jet and unscrewed the current jet from the main jet piece that it screws into. After that I went to go screw in the new 95 jet and when it was just starting to tighten up (not nearly as tight as the idle or factory main) and all of a sudden the jet twists WAY more than it should and shears off right at the threads!

So now I am left without a 95 jet because it failed...

This sucks!

Thanks! I was able to get the threaded part out that sheared off but now I need to get a new 95 jet. I'm gonna check my local scooter shop to see if they have one otherwise I will order another from scooterworks.

I think I found my answer!

Thread

I'm 99% positive that it's the same part but it looks different because I have a Roughhouse. Can anyone confirm this?

Also would I need to plug the hole or just point the tube upwards?

The hose in question is part of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculator) valve. You can do do one of two things. Either find a way to mount the valve to the frame and have a pipe attached (welded) to the new exhaust to use it as intended. Or remove the whole assembly and cap it off on the engine side. And if you end up removing it you need to cap it or water will get into the engine.

Remove the plastic thing and plug the hose. If your dealer doesn't have your jet you can call your local honda powersport dealer and ask for this part no. 99101-116-0950. The 0950 denotes the jet size 95. It took me a few dealers but I found one who stocked it. I think the number is superceeded but they had no trouble looking it up.
