Cell phone charging seat.

Post by Wolfhound »

I have an old Garmin GPS that plugs into the car cigarette lighter socket.
Just experimenting and I find that it works from the cell phone charging seat,
fits into the front luggage compartment(now that is a classic misnomer). I know that it would drain the battery quickly if the motor was not running.
My question is will it overload the system when riding or will it be OK to use
to determine accurate speeds?? :?: :?:

As long as the charger draws less than 1A (12W), you'll be fine. Just unplug it when you stop for the day, or you'll be kick starting in the morning.

Lotsa folks here use 'em.

Thanks. PeteH. I will disconnect at the end of the day. Just want to verify
correct speeds with it. There is no kick starter on the 170i scooter so I
don't want to find a dead battery the next day.
