Gearshift Numbers

Just curious as to how inaccurate the gear indicator is on everyone's bike.

Neutral is pretty good, as is first.... second's not bad.

Third is looking like 4th.

Forth looks like I've kicked it into overdrive or something.

Sounds like you need a cable adjustment.

Mine's spot on.

Nothing lines up. I have it adjusted to what feels comfortable to me.

Mine used to be spot on before the shifter cable stretched out of spec and wouldn't shift. Go figure!
