New Rollers - What a revelation!

I've been on a mission in the last few years to make my Buddy 50 (PGO Metro here in Canada) into a machine that can make it up hills at or above speed limit.

I added a 70cc kit about a year ago and that helped a bit. I finally got around to installing some lighter rollers yesterday and WOW, what a difference. On the way to work today I stayed above the speed limit the entire time. Normally I would drop about 20% below. I would get passed on the inside or outside pretty much every day.

Just for reference, I'm 165lbs and I put in 6g rollers. I have a range of weights but I'm super happy with the results so I think I'll stick with these.

Update: I tackled the worst of the hills on the way home today. I used to slow down to 30kph (20mph) but now I can zip up at double the speed (60kph/40mph).

Hooray! Now my daily commute is fun, start to finish.
