I just noticed that my '11 Blur 220i's amber front turn signal lights are mounted low in the front fairing whereas my '12 Buddy 170i's amber front turn signal lights are mounted up high just under the handlebars. This upper mounting, which I understand is a US DOT requirement, leaves the so-called dead lights in the lower part of the front fairing of all Buddy scooters here in the US. The Blur placement, which is just the opposite, would seem to be a violation of US DOT requirements as its front turn signals are at just about the exact level of the Buddy's dead lights. Mind you, I'm not complaining. I'm just curious as to why there is a difference in 2 scooters made by the same company. I don't think it's an import issue as the Blur's data plate cleary states that it was mfd. to comply with all US safety requirements.
