Can the Stella 4T climb hills?--SETTLED
Went up Pike's Peak yesterday with the bike in totally stock condition and no idle or carb adjustments made. While it did need to drop into first gear to climb over 10,000 feet, the reasonably level areas did see me get into 2 and 3 and was comfortably climbing at 20mph in 2 when I reached the summit. I weigh 265. The look from the large crowd of Harley riders was priceless. Quite a few egos were deflated.

It will do it. The nice thing is that the speed limit is very low on these roads.J33pman wrote:Now I'm wondering if my P200 will do it with a side car...I must say it was one of the most pleasant rides I've done in quite a while. Gave me quite a bit more confidence in the scoot.

SWEET. I'm full of Stella 4T pride!
I've had mine up in what passes for mountains around here a few times. It really slows over 8000 feet. I'm okay with that, but not so good when in a group.

Nice climb J33pman! Over 14,000 is an accomplishment for any scoot and its driver.
Myself and a couple of friends climbed Mt Evans today. Reaching 14,130 feet Mt Evans road is the highest paved road in North America. Heh, we gotz a little higher then Pikes Peak road.
My one friend rode their 2T Stella and my other friend was gonna ride his 4T Stella but the oil filter cap broke on it the day before the ride. He was pretty bummed so I borrowed him one of my 49cc 2T scoots. My other friend's stock 2T Stella climbed about the same as you have described your 4T Stella did as far as the gears used. He seemed to keep the speed up a little more maybe though I am not sure of the specifics. He couldn't have been up on the results of your 4T Stella by 1-3mph is my guess. His 2T Stella may have ran about the about the same as your 4T Stella too though. Its tough to say. Road conditions were retched on the way up for us.
We rode from inner city Denver to climb Mt Evans. Here is the route we took: http://goo.gl/maps/KhUhG The ride was about 130 miles round trip. All told we climbed about 9000 feet up from Denver to the top of Mt Evans. We didn't have as nice of weather as you seemed to have had though. We ran into some cold temperatures, wind, rain, sleet and hail the last several miles up. We did make it up though. Luckily the storm blew off after we hung out at the top for a bit. It was some ride. Too bad both of the Stellas couldn't make it on the run though. It would have been a good comparison as both are stock.

It was really busy at the top so we couldn't get our scoots in by the sign for a pic like yours. The ranger probably wouldn't have been happy about us blocking the sidewalk with our bikes we figured. Oh well. The view was good though.

Scooter trips
You can do a lot with a 150cc scooter. Last summer my wife and I rode to Astoria OR from San Diego CA. It was a fun trip and took some creative planning. We have a blog from the trip at http://mattnpamscooting.wordpress.com/a ... mscooting/
