Did You Know?

Post by Corsair »

That you can use ANY Buddy key to open the under seat storage compartment? Seriously, my key opens my scooter, lojical1's, and every other Buddy I've tried it on. (I hope that's not true of the 08s)

What other little known Buddy quirks can you share?

There's a special place in hell for any Buddy owner who steals from another Buddy owner.

I found out by accident. I was trying to get something from my underseat and it opened but then I noticed I using Lojical1's key.. WTH??? So then I tried my key on her scooter and it worked. Also tried the key on different Buddys at the dealer... all of them opened.

I only post this to give everyone a heads up... not to encourage shadiness :x

Well hell, as long as it's just Buddy keys, I don't see it as being any sort of problem at all. I mean, how many Buddy riders do you normally ride with? And then, how many of these are crooks? C'mon....

One 'quirk' I don't like is the Genuine windshield made for the Buddy. It comes back too close to the rider IMO, and I've often scraped my helmet against the upper edge of it when getting on and off the scooter. Warmer weather comes, that thing is definitely coming off... Fast!

Um. I think this may be the same with some other scooter models, too. Not saying which ones.
