2T won't start, except with choke, but dies in seconds

Post by stellisimo »

Howdy! So, my 2005 2T Stella will not start, seemingly out of nowhere. I'm only able to start it with the choke out, and even then it dies in a few seconds. When I get it to start, the engine sounds like its running at slightly higher rpm than usual, and then it just dies, no sputtering or anything. I did some research and thought it might be the carburetor. Upon inspection, it seemed fine, but i have never checked it out before, so i have nothing to compare it to. Any suggestions?

I guess my spark plug was to blame. I took it out to inspect it, nothing seemed amiss, but after reinstalling it my scooter started, no problem. I've turned it on and off, rode it around, it seems totally fine now. I assume something came loose. That was quicker than i figured!

Did you reinstall the same plug after just inspecting it or did you put in a new plug?
