So, on my way back to work after lunch yesterday I tried to shift into 3rd and the shifter wouldn't budge. Initially I assumed that my clutch cable went out or the shifter cable went out. However, the clutch is still disengaging and I can normally shift through 1st, neutral, and 2nd. So, it seems like this is not a shift cable or clutch cable issue. Would you all agree? Suggestions for what is happening? I'd love to get this sorted out this weekend. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks
Jeff

Put the bike on the stand, open the gear selector cover and see if you can shift the gears manually ( you will need to spin the wheel some). Need to determine where the issue is. I still bet the clamp on the cable slipped, or make sure the cable end on the handlebar stayed in its "seat".
Speed is only a matter of money...How fast do you want to go?
