I am jealous of Vespa owners who can lock their helmets from a hook located underneath the seat. I did see a Buddy with the same setup, but my Buddy 170i clear does not have helmet hooks.
What can be done? I need to be able to store a second, full-face helmet when my wife rides with me.

Yep, assuming your helmet has D-rings rather than a quick-release, put the D-rings over the peg, hang the helmet off to the side, and close the seat. I do it all the time with my full-face if I'm making a quick stop and don't want to carry the helmet with the groceries in the store.

Feel da rhythm! Feel da rhyme! Get on up! It's Buddy Time!

And, don't be too jealous of Vespa helmet locks. The metal tab is a little bit harder to get the helmet D-ring onto. And often more difficult to get the helmet back off of again. It can be a little awkward. Not so with the plastic pin on the Buddy or Roughhouse!

this ^^ I have a 170 too, it has the pegs and you can hook a helmet on them and lock your seat.PeteH wrote:Yep, assuming your helmet has D-rings rather than a quick-release, put the D-rings over the peg, hang the helmet off to the side, and close the seat. Agree. With the Vespas I usually use an extender on the D-ring.OldGuy wrote:And, don't be too jealous of Vespa helmet locks. The metal tab is a little bit harder to get the helmet D-ring onto. And often more difficult to get the helmet back off of again. It can be a little awkward.
