I've been thinking about changing the rear tire on my scooter this summer but I can't figure out what bolts need to be undone to remove the exhaust. Does anybody know?
I've watched several videos for other scooters, but the buddy does not seem to be put together the same way. I know that on a Vespa there is a compartment below the seat that you open to access the bolts. My theory is that the bolts on the buddy are located up where the pipe goes up under the seat, but I just don't know how to get up there.
Alternatively, if anyone lives in my area and knows of a scooter mechanic between Alexandria, Va. and NW DC, I'd be happy to take it in. I just don't know anyone in this area which is why I'm trying to do this myself.
BTW...the service manual keeps saying "Remove the bolts" over and over again and shows a wide-shot of the exhaust. It doesn't say where the bolts are.
Thanks in advance

Exhaust
There is a tutorial for removing the rear wheel and exhaust in the tech library.

Thanks everyone. I have a 50cc so I think the setup is a little different but I will have a look.
This probably sounds dumb, but I did actually see those two bolts under the seat already. They felt rusty (maybe it was just dirt) so I assumed that they were not meant to be removed. My old mechanic has changed the tires a few times so I was expecting the bolts to be smoother on the surface as if someone had moved them a few times.

So I had a quick look at the exhaust and it seems that the 2-strokes have a part that does not exist on the tire removal guide.
The part looks like a black cylinder with rubber pipes coming out of it and it is directly above the exhaust. Does anyone know if this has to be removed? I might try to get a picture of it tomorrow.

That tube with the hoses is 2 stroke version of an EGR valve, if its the same as my RH50 you will have to remove it. It may not seem like it will get in the way but it will.
