Scooter Cargo Trailers!
Hello Everyone!
My name is Tom...I do not currently own a buddy but have owned 2 of them in the past - a red 125cc and a St. Tropez 150cc
Thought I would share some of the scooter cargo trailers I've designed and built in the past few years. I saw an older thread here but thought a fresh thread would be better.
I have owned over 20 scooters in the past 10 years...I am currently down to one...a 2013 Honda Metropolitan which I like very much.
Enjoy the pics!

Very nice!
I particularly like this one.

I'm sure you've considered marketing these. If that's ever an option, count me in as interested in a MC trailer. I'm planning a route 66 trip a year or two down the road and have been looking for some additional storage options.

Really good aesthetics on the black one behind the Met.
How well does the Stella handle the Inder?
What does it use for a hitch and what are the mounting points?
About how much weight (trailer and load) do you usually tow?
I really want to put some type of single wheel unit behind my 09 Stella.
Thanks for any info.

Robbie,
I just build them for myself. Although, I get a a lot of requests from fellow scooterists to build them.
I've never really pursued marketing them because:
1. Product liability
2. They are ridiculously labor intensive
3. Intensive labor = $1,200+ retail price
4. Hitch - each scooter model requires a custom hitch and the hitch is actually harder to design than the trailer itself.
I design the hitches so they have minimal cosmetic impact on the bike. You can remove the hitch at anytime and never know it was there. That is extremely hard to do. I did not want to drill my bikes full of holes or weld parts to the bike to mount the trailers.
I appreciate all of the compliments. Thanks Guys!

I would have to agree, and second, all the compliments I have read in this thread. Very nice work.
