Buddy Racing Decals at Motorsport

Post by ericalm »

Just saw this in my Motorsport email. The scoot pictured belongs to MB member RayK!

They have these in white and black, usually $22 but on sale for $16.

Too bad they dont make it without the oval for the buddy logo. I moved mine over to opposite side. The oval would be blank and filled with nothing then.

It might actually work on either side; I don't know if the ends are cut so that it only fits on one.

I'd actually consider getting or making something else to go in the logo. Then again, I've long had plans to spruce up the Buddy and have yet to do more than think about it… :)

The ends are square cut; it should fit on either side.

Oops! Just remembered. There's a small notch cut into the stripe to fit under/around the chrome horn shield. So probably won't work on other side; but maybe with some tinkering ...

I like it! But I have the front rack on my scooter. A racing stripe under that... I don't know.

I know this is an old thread but since people still find it while looking for information on Buddy decals my reply is relevant.

I just tried to buy this decal from Scooterwest for its current $21.95 price.

Unfortunately Scooterwest gouges consumers for shipping. They wanted $11.95 for shipping. For a 15" sticker. I live 500 miles from them in the same state. This was not their international shipping, 2 day, 3 day, or overnight rate.

It was their lowest and slowest shipping charge.

Unless you want to pay 50% on shipping then don't even bother wasting the time to create an account and log in to buy this sticker.

Agree on the over-priced shipping. My daughter bought a Buddy T-shirt for me and the shipping from ScooterWest was almost as much as the shirt!
Scooter Lounge lists a Buddy 170i racing stripe in white or black that should work for only $14.20 + $6.95 shipping. A much better deal. I may go for it myself for my 125.

I wish the racing stripe was reflective, then I would get one.

If you don't like a company's policies there is a place to vent your feelings. That's with the company, not here.

If I find something I like (regardless of the company), but the shipping is too much, I see if I can find other things to buy at the same time. Some times that brings the shipping cost to a reasonable price. :)
