I have searched on here and some people ride their buddies without mirrors. I have done this in Florida since both of mine broke off.
Though I just moved to texas and would like mirrors again. Since i do not know the area very well, it seem to make sense to me to get them. Plus i am sure it is illegal. Though, My right mirror broke off leaving the metal stuck inside so i cannot screw in another one. the left mirror is open to place one in. Though is there mirrors out there that i can hook on rather then screw onto a buddy 125?
PS, I have tried to drill into the metal on the right side. no luck. the metal has rusted now.
no mirrors?

Broken Bit
If you want to get the broken bit out of the right side, get a broken screw extractor. It looks like a tap for making treads in a hole. To use it you drill a pilot hole in the middle of the broken bolt, then insert the extractor and back it out. You are supposed to go counterclockwise, so you'll need to make sure that the right hand mirror threads clockwise to use it.

Remember the right hand mirror has a left hand thread. Righty loosey lefty tighty.

If you can't get the stems or bolts out the back plates of the control assemblies (the piece the mirror screws into) can be bought for about $10 side. Also you can get the earlier short stem mirrors and are less likely to get knocked off. Oem buddy mirrors are pretty lousy IMO. The threads are soft. I've snapped off several.[/img]
