About once a week. I have a very, very small oil leak.

Honestly, after an oil change, I check it constantly for about 3 days. After that, once a month. Probably not the protocol, but I use Motul, and Motul will look after my scooter and me.

^This, then every ~500 miles or if I am going to do a ride over a 100 miles.

With this "new, previously owned" scooter I will check it weekly for a while, then monthly.

When I got it home the level was below the minimum.

Once I change out the oil I will monitor it daily for a few days, just to make sure there is no problem.

Not very often, I'm afraid, but none of my scoots have every dripped or smoked and I changed the oil every thousand miles or so.

With a 6k oil change schedule on the BV350 I'm going to have to change my ways though. Maybe.

I used to check it occasionally but that grew old since it never needed anything.
40K miles and never had to add oil in between changes.

On the car: every fill-up. Because it burns more oil than my old 2T. :(

On the scooter: haven't had a 4T long enough for a pattern to develop :)

I too check it fairly often after a service, and then...hardly ever.

I try to remember to at least check it as often as I check my tires, which is every 1-3 weeks. I confess I didn't check either since May!

The oil is fine, tires were 5-8lbs low on both our Buddys, so I aired them up.

My Burgman 400 has a sight glass so checking takes about 1/2 a second, and do it before every ride. Does that still count? Or is that cheating?

It'd be a lot higher but the poor Buddy hasn't seen many miles since the end of May when I bought the S40 .
Considering selling but who's gonna buy a scooter with 40K miles?

And on the main topic here, I definitely check my tires more frequently than my oil!
