Scooter cannonball movie on Kickstarter

Post by Syd »

Want to broaden the exposure of scooters? Want to help get your scooter a little more respect? Got a few spare bucks? Go to Kickstarter and help fund the Scooter Cannonball movie.

No spare bucks? Skip a service and go to Kickstarter. Quit smoking, stop drinking, break your kid's piggy bank.

Only 6 days left.

At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Thanks Syd. I've been meaning to post this here for awhile and jumped in pretty early with my help.

Here is a link to the MV thread

If you have thought about running the CBR but don't think you will ever be able to swing it this will be the next best thing!

If you ran CBR 2012 and OZ took your official portrait he will throw those in with a donation of $35 or more. I got mine!

I figured that if I waited I would end up buying it anyway and besides...I know most of the people in it.

No Cannonball for me yet. I got my first VBB in '87, used to ride my '74 Femsatronic Rally to work at 3A in the snow, my first twisty was a pranged up '85 Aero 50 and I currently have over a dozen scooters. The space under my home desk is filled with boxes of scooter parts. I still think Sprees are cool. Yes, I have the tee shirt (thanks Phil!). I'm a dork too. Just callin' the kettle black, amigo.

Vote for Project of the Week. The winning filmmaker will receive a digital distribution consultation from SnagFilms and will become a candidate for Project of the Month. That winner will be awarded with a creative consultation from the fine folks at the Tribeca Film Institute!

'Scooter Cannonball Run: The Movie' is one of five candidates and is currently in 2nd place. Vote, vote, vote!

Vote here: http://www.indiewire.com/article/vote-f ... n-20140917

I've watched enough Kickstarters to know that, if it's this close with this much time left ... it'll make the goal. :)

I'm pretty sure that the tour tank I ran in 2012 also ran in 2010 so I may have a valuable piece of film memorabilia!
