Buddy 170i

Post by supercatwoman2003 »

I have to order the oxford one, the dealership does not have it stocked. When ordering can I have the buddy decals left off? I really don't like them with the color scheme. Is that possible?

They are decals so I don't know why you just couldn't take them off. Personally I sport it as a badge of pride cos it isn't the typical Vespa or Lammie. To answer your question, I think you may be able to get the dealer to take them off for you but they ship to the dealer on...

My dealer took the Brit sticker off my 170i before I even bought it knowing I wasn't a fan of them. I wound up taking off the Buddy stickers myself for my own reasons.

Not really hard to do. A little vinegar and water mixed together helped get all the stickies off.

Thank you. I wasn't sure what the stickers were made of and what takes them off. I haven't had to take decals off a car/vehicle before. And I know this place is the best place to ask. It's not a I don't want the world to know I have a buddy. It just doesn't go with the look I'm wanting. And when I was looking at getting a vespa I asked the dealer the same question and he looked at me weird but said yes there could be no stickers or decals. I like clean. Minimal

I totally understand. I didn't like the Brit sticker at all on mine, I really just didn't want people to know the size of engine I had. Sounds odd but true for me. So I can understand wanting plain. I'm proud to ride around on my Buddy and will give the name to anyone. The company name is still on mine which is all I care about.

The stickers remind me of the puffy stickers I had as a kid, but obviously much higher quality. So they have this very nice soft feel to them and they are quite flexible.

It did take some gentle elbow grease so to speak to remove but it wasn't hard to do at all.

Use the heat from a hair dryer to get the stickers/decals nice and warm and they'll peel off nice and easy.

Good thing I did not get rid of my 100 ft long extension cord. It will come in use if my scooter does come with the decals. Hoping by end of October I'll have my scooter! Classes next weekend and I get my matching cloves and helmet Monday!

Specifically that sticker. I wasn't keen on how it looked really. Nothing against Brits at all :)

supercatwoman2003, I hope you have a lot of fun at the class. I enjoyed mine - hard work but fun and I learned a ton!

I also thought there was something just a bit off with the Buddy 170i decal on the front... so I fixed it. Much better.
