2011 Buddy 50. Abt 2660 miles on it. Allstock except for the pipe and variator. I need to know what the float height spec is, but cannot find it. I have looked in the service manual listed here on the forum. I have found a service manual for the Ligero 50, but it also neglects to list this number. The carb is a Keihin PB16, information about which is less than sparse. The Kymco 50cc I had used the same type of carb, but in a slightly different iteration. For that beast, float height was 17mm, which seems a but more than what this version should be.
I did measure when I took this carb apart. At the time it was about 10/11mm.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Why are you even messing with it? I have NEVER needed to adjust the float height on one.
That being said, set the float body horizontal with the bottom of the carb body when the float needle sets (stops moving). You are dead on. Hope that helps.

Speed is only a matter of money...How fast do you want to go?

I do have a mech in town, I just like to know factory specs to have a base from which to work. I recently switched to a Tecnigas and upped the main, but there was a rich spot first thing that kicked in about when the main jet begins to take effect (4-stroking occurred). For the initial jet swap, I just removed the cup and was careful with the upper portion. (on my Kymco I neglected to use caution the first time I tried this and discovered very quickly why those specs are good to know - and how to be more dexterous with the wee pb16).
Yesterday after a good cleaning, I reinstalled the carb, but gas was flowing out my airbox after kicking. I am uncertain if it is the fuel valve or some manner of pinhole in the line (the factory gasline sucks as do the clips, imho) so tomorrow or Friday I will be swapping out the fuel/vac lines and installing a new petcock. I am still in search of float height specs, though.
