Portable jack? You mean you want to change your tire at the side of the road? Why? If you know it is worn out just take it to a shop and have them change it for you.[/quote] Let's just say I like to cover all my bases. And if I got a flat with no shop around then what? The dealer is almost 60 mi from me and I have 0 confidence in the local ones. It's the price you pay for not living in the city + some things you can do yourself.

I'm in the 'Lay it down' school if it's my rear tire I need to swap.
Obviously the front doesn't need anything special.
With the Stella you can rotate your tires so you have even wear across all three, Every time you change your Gear oil (or Engine if it's a 4T) move em around, it should make them wear longer.
