Normal to feel the transmission "shift down" when

When I slow down to 5 mph or so, I can feel the transmission changing. It feels like a car's auto transmission shifting into low gear. Is this normal? I did not feel this with my Yamaha scooter.

That sounds like the clutch disengaging. I get that too. I would assume it to be normal.

If you are slowing down through 5mph to a stop, it's the clutch disengaging. If you are keeping it at about 5mph, it's the clutch engaging/disengaging.
