Buddy 50cc - bogging during acceleration

Buddy 50cc - bogging during acceleration
I have a 2014 Buddy 50cc that I got new a year ago with a little over a 1,000 miles on. It is my daily driver and has been running great until a couple of weeks ago. Recently it has had trouble accelerating. It bogs down when I give it gas. If I can slowly work it up to top speed it runs great at full RPMs. The main trouble is getting up to top speed.
I have tried a few things but none of them have helped.
- I thought it might be vapor lock so I drove with the gas cap loosley on for a couple of days.
- I put in a couple of oz of seafoam in my last tank of gas
- I checked the airfilter (and it was clean)
Any suggestions/advice you could give would greatly be appreicated.

Sorry for not being clear. I bought it new with 8 miles on it a year ago. Now it has 1,326 miles on it. It has never sat for more than a week. I drive it everyday to work which is about a 1.5 miles away. There are not strange noises during acceleration. The engine just cuts out. It never stalls, it just bogs down. If I gently pull the throttle and am not going up a hill I can get it going fast enough for it to "kick in" and then it will run great at full speed until I need to stop. Then I have trouble accelerating once again.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will put in a new spark plug and clean out the carb. Do you know of a tutorial/instructions for cleaning the carb. I am new at this. I just resurrected my buddy 50 that sat for 6 years..... carb cleaning and new spark plug are recommended here as well. It sounds to me like it is for sure something with the carb. If you Google buddy 50 carb cleaning there are some youtube videos on it that are quite informative and easy to follow.
One piece of advice, make sure you record your idle speed and air/fuel mixer adjustment before you strip it all down so you can get it all set back up like it was once you are finished.
Also, there are a few really good, we'll written posts on this forum regarding carburetor adjustment so if the cleaning and new plug don't fix it, this would be a good next step.

Unfortunately, I do not have experience with the 2T Buggy engine. However, the type of carb that it uses is fairly simple. It should be able to be accessed from under the seat. Once you have the carb removed, it will come apart with just a few simple hand tool. I do recommend working over a cloth towel so that any spilled fuel is soaked up and so that small parts don't roll away. Just take it easy, don't force anything, and remember where stuff goes.
The basic instructions would be to remove the bowl. Remove the jets. Spray everything out with carb cleaner. Make sure the passages in the jets and the carb are free and clear. Reassemble in the order that you removed things. When you unscrew things like the mixture screw(s), remember how many turns it took to remove. That way you can match it when you put it back together.
2T engines foul spark plugs quickly when they aren't running quite right. It is easy and cheap to just throw a new one in.
