Almost ready to buy the 150 Pamplona!

Post by Penguinboy »

Hi all-

New to the forum- first post! YEAH!! We live in MA and our closest scoot shop is in Providence, RI,about 20 mins away. We were there Sat (Javaspeed is the shop) and we loved the place and my wife drooled over the Buddy 150 Pamplona! We're going back on Thurs night to get more details, financing, extras, all that good stuff. We got a new car last year and then my wife got a new job about 3 miles from the house. No sidewalks and the road is heavily trafficed with tons of accidents all the time, so we're a little reluctant to even ride bikes there. Driving the car 3 miles each way is horrible on the car and the engine- it never even gets to temp! That's why we're looking at scoots and we were going to go with a 50 cc but then thought of all the other uses for the scoot in our traveling and decided the versatility of the 150 was more in line with what we wanted.

I'll post updates on our quest to buy the Pamplona! Are there a lot of these out there? Are they making them regularly, or is it a limited edition- buy now or never? Just wondering...

Thanks for looking!

welcome and congrats!! as far as i know they're a regular production item. i think you've made a good choice, you can't really go wrong with the 125 or 150. i went with the rattler 110, which i love, but next summer i think i'm going to try and swing the 150 also. if "the boss" i.e. my wife, will let me. :D have fun and ride safe.

The Internationals are a "special edition," not a numbered limited edition as some of the older Stellas were. This basically means that in any given year they may stop making them and that they probably won't be as many produced as other colors. But Genuine hasn't put any limitations on production, so if the Pamplonas are moving like hotcakes, they could conceivably order more.

I suspect that this will be the last year for Series Italia, but that's nothing but a wild hunch. I just can't see them adding more and more "special" international editions every year.
