I have no idea about any of this stuff..locks,alarms..etc. My husband justs uses a cable lock for his Harley..but I think I want some kind of alarm as well as a lock..what are your thoughts? is the gorilla any good? thats the only one I have heard of.
thanks!

Xena makes disc brake alarms, you put them on the front of the buddy and they go off when the bike is jerked or moved. They're 110DB, so it's a loud sound, that goes off for a few seconds, enough to be noticed my the public that "HEY EVERYONE LOOK THIS GUY IS STEALING A SCOOTER" to happen.
There are other more advanced alarms, but really, there is no spot to put them in a buddy unless you want to give up your seat storage.
An alarm wont really help though in certain cases, say you go in a store for 15 minutes, some guy can just pick up your bike, the alarm may go off, but it doesnt matter, it's just a sound, he can drive off with it, then break the alarm off later.

The best cycle alarm hands down. You can even upgrade with a paging key fob to see which sensor was tripped.

i use the Xena. I love it. I think the Gorilla is more advance but the Xena lets people know it is locked without them having to touch my scooter. I also use the NY Noose by Kryptonite. Bottom line is that NY Noose is the REAL saver. if you get one thing i would get that. but then again you dont always have something to chain up to hence why i got that disc alarm. it is applied easily and prevents rollings and scares people. winner

Gorilla is a good idea...but I think a Trunk Monkey will fit better in the pet carrier.Kurzer wrote:+1Piedmont wrote:My dealer installed a Gorilla alarm for me.
