I've been to ScooterWest.com and they quoted me
$3,100 for 125 CC out the door
$3,500 for 150 CC out the door
both prices included 1 helmet and a cover for the bike.
Best place in San Diego to buy a Buddy?

Those are pretty typical prices anywhere in CA. I'd heard another SD dealer was a bit cheaper, but didn't include the helmet (what kind do they give you?) and cover.
Also, the knowledge of the Scooter West/Motorsport staff and service there is top-notch. I've never heard of anyone having a bad experience with them. It's generally worth it to spend a little more to support the dealer where you'll be going for service.
Everyone should note that Buddy prices went up this month, so new quotes may be higher than earlier in the summer.
At this point, most people don't have much of a choice where to get their scooter. If a local dealer has one you like, get it before it's gone!

I just bought my 125cc buddy there last week at Motorsports. Same quote, they're fair and good people. I called around and found them to be the cheapest (and closest to where I live in North Park / Hillcrest so its really easy for maintenance). The Vespa shop in Hillcrest charged a couple hundred more and service needed to be shipped over to Oceanside.
The only place I found cheaper was somewhere in Santa Ana, but that's far and they were selling a 07 instead. I have almost 200 miles from this week alone and I'm so glad I bought it. Gas price hikes ftl
