19,000

Just turned over 19,000 miles in less than 2 years. Does that rock or what? Too bad Cincinnati gets so much rain and snow or I'd have lots more miles.

Wow, nice going! Any serious problems with the scoot in 19K miles?

Can you revise it again?

What about those who got the scoot last Wednesday and have put 72 miles on it so far. And we have no idea yet how many we'll do. At the rate of 36 a day, times 365, it's a lot.

Really think you'll be able to ride that much, 365 days, in Boston? Better get some snow tires.

You're totally right. I wussed out yesterday so I've really only done 72 in three days. AND god was today HOT HOT HOT.

But in the interest of keeping my body intact, I wore full-length jeans and a cordura jacket.

It was cool by the shore, so there was a little respite.

**Armored jacket arrives next week. CE-rated elbows and shoulders with a sleeve for spine pads. Comes with some pads, but they didn't say they were rated.

And yes, a helmet.

FURTHER, took a nap a little while ago to just stop moving and cool off and I had a dream that in the deep snow near my basement door I had stomped down a path clear enough to get Velveeta (that's Clementine's new name because of my blog, Bowl of Cheese) out to the road and off I rode.

:D

My husband had a clutch bearing go bad pretty early on with the new Buddy. Mine went last fall. That's the only mechanical failures we experienced and they were covered by the Warranty and our dealer.

Consistent maintenance seems to be the key. My biggest problem is the tires keep going bad and the fuel tank seems to run dry frequently!

My goal for this year is to hit 5k in one year.

The way it's looking with gas prices I may end up eclipsing that goal by quite a bit.
