Skateboarders and the Buddy :)

Post by runtotorun121 »

Today I found out skateboarders are scooterists' friends. :) I was riding down a residential street that is sort of one of our secondary options to run between the major streets without being on a too busy/businessy street when I saw a herd of skateboarders taking advantage of the nice hill and enjoying the street! I started slowing down thinking they were probably going to ignore me and stay on the roadway, but they parted like the Red Sea, jumped up onto the sidewalks on either side of the street, and then gave me the thumbs-up and lots of nods and smiles as I passed! :D Yea! I am popular with the teenagers.

Oh, and while I was loading up Buddina at the grocery store a 50-60+ lady came over to ask me about my MPG, how much for the Buddy, and where I bought her. She said she was thinking of getting something to ride around for errands and shopping in her neighborhood. She was interested in being more green, and I suggested she check out MB for a bit if she wanted to ask any questions or look into scootering.

What a lovely day! Oh, but a little humid. :)

There's a popular story (i.e., possible urban myth) about thieves using skateboards to steal a scooter. Who cares if the column is locked? Lift it onto skateboards then into the back of a truck!

I don't think those thieves are real skaters, though. :)

Lance Mountain, Matt Hensley, Patrick Melcher, and Geoff Rowley are (were, at least) all scooterists and I think all have had decks that feature scooters. I'm forgetting a couple others, I think.

*rofl*

Friend of mine bought a 50cc scooter a few weeks ago. He already owns a nice Harley but wanted something for his girlfriend to practice driving on. He's riding it a lot more then he thought and told me the other day "I've met more people on the scooter in 3 months then I have ever met in 3 years of riding the Harley. Chicks dig scooters!!". hehehe
Or people aren't afraid of scooterists. lol
I will not join a racist club that thinks one color is better then another. We are ALL BUDDY'S!
