Hey there, nice scoot! Please give more info as to what you did to the engine. 170cc? Carb + jetting, exhaust, cam? Variator weights etc. Thanks, -Kevin

Its got 61mm chrome bore ceramic coated block...

other modz were...racing cam, aftermarket racing variator, racing clutch, racing torque spring, modified torque drive...

big front disc brake installed [big rear disc to follow]

alloy step board, brake levers, exhaust pipe, front fork brace...all made by DCR....

outlaw side mirrors...low profile saddle, pro grip bar grips, alloy bar ends installed...

park lights, brake light changed to LED's 1watt

HID light installed....battery replaced to one used on ATVs

great acceleration....top end hasnt been measured yet...

performance wise,,it has better acceleration...

acceleration is pretty quick...better than stock..can reach top 100km/h in seconds...

hasnt done the extreme of reaching the top end but in can cruise at 130kmh with out difficulty

maybe if i change the gearing it will add another 3-4km/h more...but im quite worried ill loose the acceleration [unless it can be sorted by changing the rollers]

there is no problem during uphill climb...

and my gmax doent like cruising between 35-60km/h.the set up prefers running between 90-120kmh...no vibrations....

on a lean..front fork brace keeps the scoot stable on moderate speeds...

as for the other modz...my hid headlight does give you the illumination that you want....having one wont let you go back and use those halogen bulbs...

oh almost forgot...my gmax has 2 repeat two stebel horns installed...

very loud...

INdeed, one of the coolest ones i have seen....

Ditto on where did you acquire the parts?
Where did you get the Halogen headlamp and the other 1 watt LED bulbs?

it' looks like you also replaced the Dash/speedo bulbs to brighter ones?

Still wondering if anyone has installed a 'better' more improved center rear shock with a gas/adjustable model.

most parts were bought from hongkong....

as for the headlight bulb..it's not halogen...its a HID

bought them in pair...they are designed for cars or Suv's..but apparently, it would fit on the bulb mount and there's a space for the ballast to be stored inside the headlamp assembly.

we have to make adjustment that when switched on..it is permanently on the "dipped" setting...

HID is really bright...mine is near 10,000 kelvin...

as for the 1 watt led's...i just bought them from ebay

the dash lights where 5 bulb leds: 4 on the sides, 1 in middle...

as for the rear shock...yes there is an adjustable version for sale...and there is also an aftermarket inverted forks available...but they are expensive

im quite happy with the stock shock installed at present

What is the weight of the two exhaust that you have?

Does anyone know the weight of the stock blur exhaust? i removed it, and was supprised on what it weighed - it was a TON more than i expected. Anyone know. Im guessing 8 lbs-ish...

The parts will be coming from the Philippines shipped via Registered Parcel w/ tracking (10-14 business days). Buyer is not responsible for duty taxes, but will pay for shipping cost.

The exhaust pipes are way lighter than the stock ones, I don't have a scale, but if I had to guess, I'd say about 3-4lbs including the manifold. I can see that "maxG" is using the tri-oval dcr pipe.

the 61mm kit is a good one for the 125 but they can go bigger

I've lived/worked in Taiwan and have seen a lot of scooters and upgrade parts there, but unfortunately, some of us are here (in the U.S.) and cannot get those parts. I've seen a few upgrades being sold on EBAY from sellers based in either Taiwan or Hong Kong, though. And yes, even kits to bump the 150cc Blur (PGO G-Max) to at least 180cc (machine work required on crankcase).

The panels he has is the stock paint scheme for the gmax 150/200. It comes in blue also, but you'll have to contact PGO taiwan to order those, I doubt they will give a response, but your dealer/genuine might be able to do it. It never hurts to ask. I'm sure genuine could do it, but probably wouldnt.

Also, performace parts are common, theres tons from NCY taiwan, but ordering them is near impossible unless you live in asia where there are many mom and pop scooter part stores.

Taiwan.

Cars are still more popular in japan, bicycles too. Scooters and motorcycles arent as common.

Taiwan is like scooter city, everyone has one. I'd say a dealer in taiwan could do it, but in US money, it would probably cost 200-300 dollars just to buy replacements. And a dealer isnt going to deal with the hassle of shipping parts to the USA, so you'll be in charge of that.

its on my 2nd week of my holiday and we had done a lot of performance upgrade

Namely:
Changed to a bigger carb - OKO 28mm inc jetting
Installing high gearing - recorded top speed of 140kmh@8000 rpm
A bit of adjustment on the racing cams
Instillation of the engine hanger
Instillation of big rear rotor disc with original brembo calipers (very difficult to do unless you know how to make a custom bracket)

Ill post photos and video clips how we fine tune the engine....

Well i should say that after fine tuning, it has better acceleration and can provide a cruising speed of 135kmh...topping at 140+ @8000 rpm

Thanks...as for your question: its A8...and you dont have to drop the engine...opening the head will do...

1st trial was 138kmh using "refaced ramp" stock pully

Then we attained 140+ on MTRT pulley and tweaking the final jetting of the carb

The avi video of the test lasted 5minutes...dont know how long it would take to upload to youtube

What was your rationale behind using an A8 cam? Reason I am asking is an ebay seller I have corresponded with suggested I go for an A12. It would be good to know if he's full of it...

Also, did you have any problems with putting the OKO 28mm carb in ie clearance with underseat compartment?

What jettings did you use? Did you have to drill out the carb at all?

I'm not far off going the big bore kit route and any pointers would be great...
