Buddy Mistaken for a Sport Bike

Post by MikieTaps »

HAHAHA!! YES! So I went over to the copy machine about 5 minutes ago, and I run into one of the guys from one of the other Divisions at the office. After a couple months of me showing up to the office with my jacket and FF helmet, He says to me, “So you know that it is an ongoing joke that we all thought you rode a sport bike, and just recently found out it was a scooter right?, dude, you have to pop off the governor and put some flames on it or something!” I went on to inform him that I hit 71mph just the other weekend, I didn’t tell him it was BMPH I didn’t want to hurt his little brain… :headache: His response was “oh damn… nevermind!”

I love the look people get on their faces when you mention the top speed. Cracks me up every time.

Next move is to ask to race. I ask everybody to race. No matter what they drive/ride.

Had a kid pull up to me in traffic (stopped at a light) in his unpainted sports car the other day and the conversation went like this:

kid: Want to race?

me: No thanks--I'm not built for speed.

kid: That's fine, man, I'm just kidding. What's your MPG?

me: 124 mpg last time I checked.

kid: S@*! I get 5.

We both laughed and took off with the light. Sometimes I tell people I can hit 65-70 on the scoot, but there are other ways to handle it too.
