Hello! New member to the forum w/ question about Buddy mods

Post by fiver1971 »

Greetings Programs! So, I just purchased my buddy from a local scoot dealer here in Salt Lake City, UT called Eco Moto. They sell mostly SYM and Genuine scooters from what I could tell. I was on the verge of purchasing a black Aprillia Mojito custom 150cc from a guy here in SLC off of CraigsList, but was sold on the Italia 150 cc Buddy by the guys at Eco. Glad I talked to them. I'm loving my buddy. My question is, has anyone over tried changing out the 10" wheels and putting 12" wheels on instead? I started thinking about it tonight and wondered if it would improve the drive. I'm mostly using my buddy to drive around town a bit (I live in a suburb of SLC), but am driving about 7 miles to work a couple of times a week to save on gas (normally drive a Toyota Tacoma) and my commute takes me briefly on a highway with a posted speed limit of 55 mph. My buddy does it's best to get me up to that speed, but I am pushing about 275 lbs (need to drop a few lbs  ) and. Thanks!

I don't think it would work, I am sure it is possible, but it is going to be more trouble than it is worth.

 Thanks. As a side note, I'm looking for suggestions as to the best places on the web to get decals, etc. to personalize your buddy. Anybody have any fave sites?
