How many of us carry digital cameras to record our travels?

Post by Tenchi »

I just got my Father's Day present, a Canon digital camera (which comes with a PHD---Press Here, Dummy, button) that I took on my last scooter trip over the hills by my house. Only a ten mile trip. Took photos of Longhorn cattle, wild turkeys, a couple of deer and some panorama shots of the valley. If I were driving in a car, I wouldn't think of turning a short trip into a photo experience, but it seems to come naturally on a scoot. Anyone else do this?

I will be buying a camera just for this reason, I have been using my phone. The wife keeps our normal digital camera in her classroom (she is a teacher) more often than at home so I have to get my own.

My phone has a built in 3mp camera, not the clearest, but for a phone it does very well and has taken a few super clear images.

I always have a camera. My phone camera bites and I do like to take pictures. I never know when I'll come across an interesting object that I can use for scooter tag.

My husband and I do alot of riding together and try and always remember to take the camera with us. You really see so much more when on two wheels and just scooting along...

I really want to try that sometime with a still camera and a shutter-release cable.

Another item to add to the pet carrier...
Yes, it's fast. No, you can't ride it.

I occasionally carry my digital with me but have yet to master the fast one-handed photo taking techniques I've seen others do at stop lights. Glove off, camera ready, snap!

I had improvised a headset mount at one point, but it wasn't that secure. But there are a number of ways to mount a camera to your scoot.

I always have my phone with camera with me, though it's an iPhone so the touchscreen doesn't work with gloves on. (About my only complaint with the iPhone, really.)

There are a number of video setups you can get, ranging from $100-$800.

You can fix that. I did this to my winter gloves. I may try it on my riding gloves too now that I think about it. I almost never carry an iPod though.
