Painting the Rattler panels?

Post by denskies »

Has anyone successfully painted the rattler? If so what kind of paint did you use? I was also thinking about having Rhino Lining sprayed on them....

I just had my Roughhouse panels painted. I had a guy at work do it. He went all out. Used a primer, color base coat, and clear coat. I am not in the office today, but I can find out what brand it was tomorrow. All I know is it was car paint. It was the only way I could get the color I wanted, which they color matched to some fingernail polish I bought. He used an entire 12-oz bottle to paint the 4 colored panels. I think it ended up costing about $80 for all the paint, including some black paint and tape (I had a design painted on the front too). The color-matched paint was expensive because it had red pigment in it. One of these days I'll take some pictures of it.

Superliner makes some nice colored lliners too. It can also be applied a little bit thinner than Rhino to save some weight.
