Hitch mounted scooter carrier

Your vehicle might be the limiting factor.
When the weight has leverage, the hitch rating goes down.
That's not apparent in most literature or ratings.

Vehicle is a '05 Suzuki XL-7. I know it can tow 3000#. How do I find out if it can handle this?

Just a side note about this company - I've seem them sell these carriers much cheaper through their ebay store, although for the life of me, I can't find them now. I've been debating about this one and one from ATV Express (http://stores.ebay.com/ATVxpress).
