Seat cover?

Post by sunbunny »

Are there seat covers you can order for the Rattler? The dealership had one for a Buddy, but I don't think that will work for Rattler. The black seat is alittle hot in the Arizona sun!

try scooterseatcovers.com. Crystal seems to be a nice person and will go out of her way to make something cool. She doesn't have the Rattler/RH listed but if she can get a hold of a seat she can make one in any fabric you'd like. I think the price is very reasonable.

I am going to start making seatcovers soon for Roughhouses and '08 Rattlers. The seat is exactly the same. Here is one I made for myself. I don't have a website or anything, and haven't figured out how much I will charge. Probably $65 or so, depending on what it's made out of.

Yes, assuming that the fabric is in stock. I'm planning on making an order in a week or so, once I get a good list of what people want. If you look at your seat, there are 4 sections. There's a narrow piece around the back, the top piece on the back, the large piece that covers the top and sides of the front, and the itty-bitty front piece. Each piece could be a different color. On mine, the front 2 pieces are black, the back 2 are pink leopard print. I've only tried using velboa fabric so far. I'll post more info once I get everything going, which might be a while.

Here's the camo fabric I found. It's slightly fuzzy (but not girly-fuzzy).

Brown camo:

Green camo:

Gray camo (I think this would look good on the Rattler or blue Roughhouse):

Purple camo (I wonder if this will match mine!):

I think I'm going to try that cool ass seat cover and get a regular cover. With temps over 100 the cool ass sounds great! Now if I could only find a air conitioned jacket....

what about something like the pvc snakeskin from
http://www.distinctivefabric.com/fabric ... t=PVCSNAKE

does anyone know if the seats have changed from pre-08 to 08?

I've thought about snakeskin vinyl. That's actually the website I looked at too! I don't know if my sewing machine will handle it. I'm going to the fabric store tomorrow, so maybe I'll just pick some up and try it.

Is your seat higher in the back than the front? I think the older Rattlers have a "bump" in the seat. I know for a fact that the '08 seat is the same as the Roughhouse, but I've never seen anything older.
