I have always wondered why the service manual made so little sense at times. I always figured it was the language barrier. UNTIL, my wife noticed the pattern used to make the green background of the cover looks suspiciously similar to, lets just say I've only seen the stuff in Cheech and Chong movies!
She's a graphic designer and always seems to notice strange stuff like this. Hey it could be Japanese maple leaves, but that wouldn't be nearly as funny.

Image edited in photoshop to to add contrast. Very hard to tell otherwise unless you can actually look at the manual itself. Buddy Cover copy.jpg (113.29 KiB) Viewed 976 times

Awww..I got one of the generic white ones. The green one would be pretty funny to show of to future generations.

I'm pretty sure those are Japanese maple leaves.
Don't ask me how I know.

Chong still might. Cheech is too clean these days.

Hehehe, I could buy that, but why!?! Japanese Maple of all things on the cover. Not pistons, carburetors or wrenches even.

But PGO is a Taiwanese company. Not Japanese.

Tommy Chong is in great shape with a beautiful wife. Cheech is still doing "stand-ins" in re-runs.
